A group of talented young ladies have chosen construction as an option in year 10. They will complete a two-year programme in a GCSE qualification and will help the industry to close the skills gap created over the years. They will learn skills in Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry, Painting and Decorating along with Heritage Skills to bring the past back to the present. The girls motto is: 'Make a difference. Cherish the past. Adorn the present. Construct for the future.

Steve Jones Head of construction at the school said, “I am very proud of all my construction pupils and very pleased that these young ladies will eventually pursue a career in construction and lead by example and most certainly improve the image of construction“.
