Mr William Davies (Chairperson, Local Authority Governor)
I am a governor nominated by RCT Council and I am in my second 4-year term of office at the school. I was appointed chair of the governing body in the last meeting held in December 2015. I worked in education departments in three different county councils for a period of 43 years before retiring in January 2007. I try to use my previous working experience to support the school and the governing body as much as I can.

Although now retired, I have been involved in education both as a School Teacher and University Lecturer. For the past 43 years I have been connected with the school as a parent, teacher and for the last 23 years a governor.
Pontypridd High School has always been a caring and inclusive institution that places the welfare of its pupils at its heart. It is always striving to ensure the best education provision for all and constantly reviews its achievements to guarantee that it is continually moving forward.

I am currently a community governor, having previously been a parent governor for many years. I enjoy working with the staff and children and am proud to be a member of the ever-changing Pontypridd High School community.

I have been a Parent Governor of Pontypridd High for nearly three years. My children have had a very inspirational time at Pontypridd High School.
Mrs Sally Churchill (Parent Governor)
I am a parent governor at Pontypridd High School where my son and daughter attended. I am a former teacher and have just retired from managing information systems with Rhondda Cynon Taff Council. I am looking forward to contributing more to this excellent and caring school.

I have been a secondary school teacher for twenty years and I believe that every child deserves the highest quality of education. Both of my sons attend the school and I want to offer my support to the staff and pupils in any way I can.
Mrs Rebecca Peplow (Parent Governor)
I work in the Education Department for Cardiff Council, supporting children from Ethnic Minority, Gipsy/Traveller and LAC background. I also help organise events for our MAT and SEREN students in Cardiff. Both my children attend the school and I would like to offer my support to both pupils and staff in any way I can.

I am a Parent Governor at Pontypridd High School where my daughter is currently studying in year 7. I am a Chartered Accountant who lives near the school and works for South Wales Police. I have only recently taken on the role of Governor at the school and am looking forward to working with my fellow Governors to help support the staff and pupils at this excellent school.

I have worked at Pontypridd High School for 14 Years and am proud to be part of the Governing Body. I like to support the school in any way I can to ensure the pupils get the best experience in their journey through school life. The school has a great ethos and pupils are supported and guided with care and commitment.

I am a Local Authority Governor, nominated by RCT Borough Council, and Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for our school. It is a great privilege to be involved in the running of the school and sitting on the various governors’ committees.
I worked for British Telecom for 39 years and during that time, was also a Magistrate for 23 years and a Flight Lieutenant in the RAF Volunteer Reserves, attached to the Air Cadets.
I very much enjoy putting to use my various experiences in support of the school and governing body, and shall strive to aid the school in continuing to move forward.
