Year 13 Farewell

Year 13 we would like to thank you for your contribution to our school.

Your A Level experience has been a very different one and you have needed to face unexpected challenges. Without doubt your resilience and attitudes have certainly been tested in many different ways, both collectively and individually. In such circumstances you certainly deserve credit for the commitment shown to your work in school and that extra, unexpected time at home. Throughout this you have remained positive and your ‘can do’ attitude has allowed you to reach the end of Year 13 successfully.

We were delighted this year that we could celebrate the completion of your seven years with us at here at Pontypridd High School with a prom, taking place in the Angel hotel, Cardiff. It was a very successful and enjoyable evening giving both staff and pupils chance to reflect and reminisce over events from the last seven years. All pupils were impeccably dressed and represented the school in an exemplary manner. Mr Cripps and Mr Longden took the opportunity to thank Year 13 for their contributions to our school and to wish them all a very happy and successful future. There was a personal message from Mrs Panes and Hannah Okon (Head student) thanked all of the teachers at PHS who have worked hard to support them and have been so incredibly generous with their time.

The results will not be available until August 18th so for now you have plenty of time to relax, enjoy the summer and think about your future plans. You have different skills and talents to offer society and your time has come to be confident in your own ability, to meet your aspirations and be successful at whatever you choose to do.

Best wishes for a very happy and healthy future from everyone at Pontypridd High School and we trust you will make the most of every opportunity that comes your way!
