Ski Trip 2019

During half term, 34 pupils travelled to Zell am See, Austria for the 2019 ski trip

During half term, 34 pupils travelled to Zell am See, Austria for the 2019 ski trip. The twenty nine hour bus trip, across 3 countries, to Austria was well worth it. All of our pupils enjoyed six days of skiing in very good conditions. The resort had a fresh covering of snow just days before we arrived and we were lucky enough to have blue skies and sunshine for the duration of our week.

The early mornings did not deter the student as it meant we had the best snow conditions and no queues at the lifts. The progress made by all pupils was astonishing with the top group on black runs by the middle of the week. Even those who had never skied on snow before, reached the top of the mountain and completed blue, green and red sections of the slopes.

After very long days, the pupils continued to enjoy themselves by making the most of the hotel’s top class sports facilities. Each night pupils were taking part in activities such as 5 a side, basketball, rock climbing, trampolining, pool, table tennis, squash and beach volleyball.

It was a fantastic week enjoyed by pupils and staff, all external providers such as the hotel staff, ski instructors and even the bus drivers commented on how well behaved and delightful all of our pupils were.

Next year’s trip will be launched very soon!!!
