Science Week at PHS

From Monday 13th to Friday 17th March 2017, staff and pupils at Pontypridd High School celebrated British Science Week.

From Monday 13th to Friday 17th March 2017, staff and pupils at Pontypridd High School celebrated British Science Week. Pupils enjoyed a trip to @Bristol Science Centre, a GeoScience Rainforest Animal experience, an inflatable space dome and National Demo Day. In addition, year 7 and 8 took part in the Great Pontypridd High School Egg Drop Challenge; designing a structure to protect an egg from a drop of 2 metres. The week concluded on Friday 17th March with a celebration assembly for year 7 and 8, where prizes were awarded to our school’s ’super scientists’. This is the first time the School has taken part in British Science Week, and the whole Science Department is looking forward to an even bigger and better week next year.
