Parent Governor Vacancies

The Governing Body of Pontypridd High School has, with effect from November 2016, vacancies for parent governors and is looking for parents who are interested in these roles.

A parent governor is a person with parental responsibility for a pupil attending the school.

The role of governor is an important one – Governing Bodies are responsible for a variety of functions connected with the effective running of the school, including curriculum, budgeting and staffing matters. You will be support in these duties by other experienced members of the Governing Body, the Headteacher and the Governor Support Officer.

You will find more information about the role of a parent governor on the attached form which needs to be completed and handed in to Pupil Services by Wednesday 2nd November. Alternatively, completed forms can be emailed to pickensn@pontyhigh.co.uk.
