Joel Jones (8P) and Delyth James (8O) have formed a very successful rock band, Screaming Carnage. With Joel on lead guitar and Delyth as vocalist, and two other friends, Screaming Carnage has become a local favourite amongst many.

Their most recent gig was The Rose and Crown, The Graig on August Bank Holiday Sunday where they played to a full house and raised much needed funds for Velindre.

This was the latest in numerous live events they have played over the last 18 months including Clwb Ifor Bach, Hopkinstown Cricket Club, the Brynfynnon Hotel and the Central Hotel. They played a massive fundraiser for the Donate for Kate charity back in July at the Pontypridd and District Club and helped raise over £700.

The band is going from strength to strength with practice twice a week. Their next gig is later this month, where they will be raising money for an Alzheimer’s charity.
