Llangrannog, Urdd Camp

A fabulous weekend was had by a lively crew of 31 Year 7 & 8 pupils at the Urdd camp in Llangrannog during 6th – 8th May.

After a small detour to get to Llangrannog (the driver got lost!!!!), pupils spent Friday evening swimming, playing games in the gym and going on a bat hunt - and then of course there was the usual competition to see who could stay awake the longest.

Saturday’s day time activities included high ropes, low ropes, the climbing wall, horse riding, trampolining, quad biking; all attempted very successfully and enthusiastically considering the previous night’s lack of sleep! These were followed by a lovely walk down to Llangrannog beach after tea with just enough time to fit in a quick dance in the disco before bed time.

Everyone was up and out early on Sunday morning to take part in the archery, skiing, tobogganing and go karting activities before having a lovely dinner and returning to school by tea time.

A big thank you must go to Mrs Jones (Cymraeg) for organising the trip, and to Miss Jones, Ms Thomas (Cymraeg), Mr Soper (Science) and Rishen the Technician for giving up their weekend to accompany the pupils who were all fantastic.

Ms. D. Thomas (Teacher of Welsh)
