Berlin, Germany, Feb '16

During February half-term, Sixth Form pupils studying A-level History visited Berlin on an educational school trip.

This trip saw pupils visit a number of the key historical sites that Berlin and the surrounding area has on offer. This included the Reichstag Building, Brandenburg Gates, Holocaust Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, Wannsee Conference Building, Berlin Wall and a Cold War bunker. As well as this, pupils had the chance to speak to experts on German history in the Holocaust Museum.

These compact few days allowed pupils to see for themselves many of the key German sights that they learn through their history lessons, and develop their knowledge which will provide invaluable for their course.

I would like to thank all the staff that allowed this trip to go ahead, especially Mrs. Fowler who organised the trip.
