The first step of the Year 8 Options process is for each learner to complete a ‘declaration of interest’ form. (A copy of this form is attached below as a Word document.) This allows us to determine the demand for each subject and form option columns that minimise clashes between subjects.

In order to complete this form it is essential that each Year 8 learner spends some time carefully researching courses they are interested in to determine which qualifications would offer them the best chance of success. In order to do this Miss Griffiths (Careers Leader) will be uploading a number of resources to the website as well as assigning specific tasks to complete through class charts. Please keep an eye on the website for updates to course information and further resources that may be added.

In addition to this below is a PDF GCSE Options Booklet. This booklet contains information about each of the 13 subjects. When completing the 'Declaration of Interest' form please remember that 'Child Development' is now 'Health and Social and Child Care' and 'Food and Nutrition' is 'Hospitality'.
