Fun in the sun as the pupils involved in the School of Hard Knocks Programme visited the legendary Barry Island on 22.6.17. This was a reward for the fantastic progress they have made over the past few months. The School of Hard Knocks was introduced into the school in February 2017. A select group of boys from Years 8 and 9 were chosen to take part in the project which focuses on personal development, confidence building, teamwork and physical fitness through the medium of Rugby. Working alongside Neil Edwards, a former Welsh International, the pupils have already enjoyed some extremely positive experiences working with the team. Mr Edwards reported that the boys were great ambassadors for the school on their trip and enjoyed every second- and this cemented their link as a team even more. Well done boys, what a perfect way to make the most of this heat wave!
