This is the same day as we celebrate World Book Day, so we are busy preparing innovative and engaging lessons on a bookish theme.  
On No Pens Day, pupils in Year 7, 8 and 9 will not be asked to produce extended writing in their lessons, but will instead concentrate on developing their speaking and listening skills.  
The success of our first No Pens Day in December was very clear as 93% of pupils stated that they would like to participate in such a day again.  The staff surveyed also reported a positive effect on pupil engagement and learning.
