Please note the following arrangements that will allow you to plan your evening so that you can take part in the fun activities and meet with staff to get all the information you need.

5.00pm – Pontypridd High will be open for you to begin your visit and meet our staff

5.30pm - We have a fantastic Sports Hall facility and in our Open Evening we will be giving all Year 5 and 6 pupils the opportunity to take part in different individual and team games. If you would like your daughter / son to take part in these activities please ensure they have a pair of trainers to change into and register them in the Sports Hall by 5.30pm. The children will be supervised by our staff and take part in activities for approximately 1 hour.

You are welcome to stay with your daughter / son whilst they enjoy playing in the Sports Hall or you may want to use that time to walk around the School, visit different facilities and meet with staff. This would also be the opportunity to attend the Headteacher welcome in the Hall.

6.00pm – Mr Huw Cripps, Headteacher will give a short presentation on the transition process into Pontypridd High, including important information about the school that needs to be considered when making your choice of secondary school. The Head Girl and Boy together with Year 7 pupils will also present their own thoughts on ‘life at Pontypridd High’.

6.30pm to 8.00pm – More time to visit the Lower and Upper Blocks and view all the facilities which your child will have access to and benefit from.

Information related to all transition events will be presented in the Open Evening. However, if you are unable to join us on that night we can arrange a visit to our School at an alternative time. Please contact Ms Katie Churchill at School or more directly by email;
