Due to popular demand the Pre Order System will be re-introduced after Half Term. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of time spent in the dinner queues and leave more time for chilling out! Order forms will be available in reg classes for you to complete during reg or pop along to the hall at break time and fill one in there. Hand it in with your payment and collect at dinner time.

“There are echoes of history where we are learning” commented Jamie Thomas, Head Boy, on BBC Wales’ documentary Welsh Towns last night.
Jamie, Katie, Kyra, Shannon and Lowri were all lucky enough to take part in the making of this documentary during the summer holidays alongside the host Eddie Butler and his film crew.
The series, about the history of towns in Wales, began last night with Pontypridd, mentioning the Albion mining disaster of 1894 amongst the many other events that have made Pontypridd a place of historical interest. |

Bridging the gap between the generations proved to be a huge success at Pontypridd High School when a team of volunteers from RSVP visited the school over the past several weeks. The team of sprightly senior citizens brought along a wealth of activities such as knitting, crochet, map reading, card making, timeless games and crafts to teach our young people skills that are usually passed down through the generations. It was a fantastic opportunity to work together whilst chatting about life as young people years ago.
Judith Mcmullin, Project Coordinator said “This is the second time we have visited Ponty High, we always receive a warm welcome, and the children are so well mannered it is a pleasure to work with them. There is always a coffee waiting for us when we arrive usually made by Asad.”
Mason said “We love coming up to Xtra to do this, we would like to stay longer “ while Daniel added “I used to do Knitting with my Nan, it’s great to do it again!”
The Skill Swap was organised by the school’s Youth Coach as part of the Building the Future Together Project which helps young people to acquire the right skills to prepare them for employment and to maximise their potential. Building the Future Together Project is part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.
